19th November 2017
On Thursday 19 November Charlestown ACE Academy Council organised activities at the first formal ACE School Council meeting. Children representing schools within the across the ACE Trust met up and learnt about the value of having their views heard across all seven schools.
The Charlestown council began the meeting with a super quiz that they had written themselves, which proved to be a good ice breaker. All school councils in the Trust are going to pitch a charity they would like to support and Charlestown pupils began this process by suggesting 'Ocean Rescue' as their chosen charity and they put forward some very compelling reasons for why this should be supported.
The next ACE School Council meeting will be held at St Columb Major in January, where all the other pitches will be made.
A big thank you to all who attended; we look forward to further strengthening this relationship
across future projects!
