Summer Term ACE Sports Event

Tuesday 3rd July 2018 will go down in history as a great day for English football as England secured their spot in the quarter finals of the World Cup in Moscow, after their first ever penalty shootout win in a World Cup! Better still, this date will live long in the memories of our ACE family of seven schools: St Agnes, St Columb Minor, St Columb Major, St Kew, Charlestown, Beacon and Upton Cross. Over 100 ACE children took part in our very own ACE World Cup at Enys Parc, St Agnes Football Club, which proved to be a perfect venue for our children to come together to learn new football skills in a friendly yet competitive environment.

ACE School Council Meeting - 20.02.18
At the ACE School Councillors meeting at Beacon Academy, school councillors met other fellow councillors from within the ACE  Multi-Academy Trust and also our Chief Executive, Jennie Walker. The children got to talk about charities they would like to support, what makes their school special and healthy schools. The councillors also had some great ideas for improvements, how to share successes across the MAT and some thoughts of how the children can work collaboratively within ACE.  In addition to these topics, the group also had the opportunity to interview Jennie Walker and asked her some thoughtful  questions. The children were keen to know what her role entailed, her view on the Year 6 Tests and what she did to unwind including her favourite hobbies, food and sports.
