Mrs Jess Mills to become Headteacher at St Agnes ACE Academy from September 2017
After a two day interview process, the Directors of ACE and Governors of St Agnes ACE Academy are delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs Jess Mills to the post of Head Teacher.
She is currently Headteacher at Dulwich Village C of E Infants and has a career spanning 16 years with a long list of achievements under her belt such as raising and maintaining high standards; moving her previous school from good to outstanding and leading innovative extra-curricular programmes. Jess will take the reins from Carol Wint who has been a dedicated Headteacher since September 2008 and led the school through two good Ofsted inspections. Carol has been a strong leader through the expansion of the school from a 1 form to a 2 form entry and has an enthusiasm for, and commitment to providing, excellence in teaching and learning, in particular environmental awareness, sports and the arts. She will be greatly missed by everyone who works with her and the community of St Agnes.
Jess Mills has aspirations to lead the school to become Outstanding and to raise standards in reading, writing and maths.
“It is a huge privilege to have the opportunity to lead this fabulous school and I am so excited to join the St Agnes team and community. I am passionate about supporting children to achieve their potential and enabling them to make outstanding progress and achieve well. I want the children to love learning and to leave St Agnes ACE Academy as lifelong learners who persevere and always try their very best.
I want the school to be underpinned by a strong set of shared values, including kindness and respect, so that we can support exemplary behaviour and help children to leave us ready to make a positive contribution to the world.
I am really impressed by all the sporting excellence and enthusiasm I have seen in the school and am looking forward to getting involved cheering the children on from the sidelines!
As the school expands I will work tirelessly to ensure it continues to improve and develop doing the very best for the children that we serve. “
